Private Comments
Is it possible in Word (or with an add-on app) to allow users to enter
private comments on a shared document? We have a need to allow officers to add comments to a document. But, the officer's comments/notes should only be viewable by the officer who wrote them, not by others who also can view/comment on the document. In other words, they need private comments. Does anyone have an idea if this can be accomplished? -- -Craig |

Hi ?B?Q3JhaWc=?=,

But, the officer's comments/notes should only be viewable by the officer who wrote them, not by others who also can view/comment on the document. In other words, they need private comments. Does anyone have an idea if this can be accomplished? It's not something that can be done with Word. At least, not reliably so that no one could go in there and get a look. Word just isn't the right tool... Of all the MS Office apps, I'd say your best bet would be InfoPath. Thanks Cindy. In all my years of using Word, I've never been asked this
question. I've been stumped thinking of a way around it. -- -Craig "Cindy M -WordMVP-" wrote: Hi ?B?Q3JhaWc=?=, Is it possible in Word (or with an add-on app) to allow users to enter private comments on a shared document?
