Hi azhagesan,
What sort of number are you getting (eg 38708, 12202005)? Cheers "azhagesan" wrote in message news When I tried to merge custom formated date (mmmm dd, yyyy) from excel, the merged document is showing the date as number. How to have the date in the format i required. I am using Office 2003 |

You need to re-format the date in Word - something like DATE \@ "dd/MM/yyyy"
where DATE is your field name. If you hit Alt/F9 you will see the field format rather than the result. Then Alt/F( to switch back again Sheila "azhagesan" wrote: When I tried to merge custom formated date (mmmm dd, yyyy) from excel, the merged document is showing the date as number.
