Default .doc data field limitation issues

Is there a way to create a data table in a .doc format to:
1. Have more than 63 fields? If not, is there a way to have more than one
data table in a document that will ultimately be merged into one template?
2. Format the big data table(s) so they are print-friendly?
The data tables I need may be printed and approved hard-copy. And, there
will be only one data set, with many fields.
Thanks!

Word is the wrong application for this. Use Excel.
