Changing background color
How do I change the background color of a "section" of my document. I know I
can go to format and change the document background. Example, when I have a cover page for a document that needs to have no color and the remaining pages of the document needs to be in color what can I do? I have placed section breaks but this doesn't help. What am I doing wrong? |

If you are going to print this document use coloured paper or it will cost a
fortune in ink. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org TopSchmo wrote: How do I change the background color of a "section" of my document. Changing background color
The document is for an assignment where I'm building a Webquest requiring it
to have a background color. The coverpage needs to remain white (no fill color). Changing background color
On the Layout tab of Page Setup, check the box for "Different first page."
Then, with the insertion point on the first page, View | Header and Footer. Select the background and delete it. Note that I'm assuming that your "background" is actually a "printed watermark." If it's really a "background" (on a Web page), then these instructions won't apply, as you'll see the background only in Web Layout view, anyway. -- Suzanne S.
