Hi Everyone,

I have word 2003 in my laptop. Someone sent me the document made in Word 2007,
but I can't open it. When I try to open it, it shows me the document and
hangs up. I can't do anything except close it down. I even installed
"Compatibility pack" from Microsoft's website, that didn't help either.

Can anyone pls help..

Ask the sender to send you another copy (this time in Word 97-2003 format).

Thanks for the reply Doug.. I also thought so, but the document was sent to
many people and everyone else (in Word 2007) can open the document except me..

Are you sure you have the Office 2007 Compatibility Pack installed (sorry
if I missed anything)? If you do not have it, you would not be abel to open
the document.

It could still have been corrupted in transit. If you have applied the
compatibilty pack, you should be able to open it - however see if
http://www.gmayor.com/Problems_opening_2007_docs.htm covers it.
