In Word and Excel 2003 when I go to Save As and click the drop down arrow to
select a location to save, my PC hangs for a little over a minute.

I tried detect and repair. It has all the updates. I even removed and
reinstalled it. Tried in Safe Mode and still the same.

Does your Tools Options file locations point to network shares?
That slows you right down.

No my file location is ok, all local.

I also renamed normal.dot but still same thing. Any other ideas?
