Word corrupts hyperlinks.
Hi
I have an issue with Word. We have all our documents placed on the network on a fileserver (not uncommon i guess). When I (or someone else here) inserts a hyperlink to another file on the network Word replaces the servername with dots, and hence creating a path that is non existing. How can i fix this behaviour? Example: I have a document placed on \\server\ini$\documents\test.doc In this document i want to place a reference to a document located on: \\server\ini$\otherDocuments\link.doc When i first insert the hyperlink all is fine, and the link works fine. But when i save the document Word changes the link path to: ...\otherDocuments\link.doc It replaces the absolute link with a relative (non working) link. Can somebody please help me here - it's very annoying. As a note should be mentioned that all of the above has to be on the same server for the example to work(NOT work:-) ) /Anders |
