Cursor changes
From time to time when working in Word 2002 I accidently hit a set of keys
and my insertion point cursor turns into the "Mac" four-leaf clover. What keys am I hitting to make that happen? Is there an easy way to reset the cursor when this happens? |

Thanks! Do you know what keys I hit that cause the cursor to change?

Alt Ctrl Num+ , although I don't know how you could hit that combination
accidentally, because I can barely do it on purpose. Zorcon wrote: Thanks! Do you know what keys I hit that cause the cursor to change? Note also that this is the 'destructive' cursor in that any menu item you
select while it is displayed will be deleted. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Zorcon wrote: Thanks! Fortunately for Zorcon, no, the cloverleaf (Ctrl+Alt+NumPlus) is the
"assign this item to a keyboard shortcut" cursor (the ToolsCustomizeKeyboardShortcut command). When this cursor is active, clicking a menu item or toolbar button or pressing an existing shortcut will open the Customize Keyboard dialog with the corresponding command highlighted. The destructive cursor is Ctrl+Alt+minus (http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/LostSymbol.htm). -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit.
