Default Word Saved file as TEXT and it inserted various line breaks throughout the document

I'm not sure WHAT happened to my important document, but when I saved
as text, I had the file set at landscape and every line in my document
had a paragraph mark at 94th place. I saved it and I believe that I
may have chosen cr/lf on the convert box....but it put in line breaks,
whereas before it had not. the thing is that there is not pattern to
the breaks, other than the fact that 192 records out of 1300 are now
broken at the 78th space all other records remained at the 94 space.

any ideas on what happened. In looking at the file, you would see that
this occurred randomly. For example, you may have two good rows (94 in
length) and then a 78 & 36 space line (94 cut) then 7 good ones and
another 4 cut and then 2 good ones and one cut.

I'm perplexed because I've taken this file and done the same process 5
times and it has not created these line breaks in that fashion again.

any help would be totally apprecaited!!
