Well, 'Adobe PDF' must be a defined 'PRINTER' in your printer list. (you
would simply choose the 'Adobe PDF' printer as the "printer" you print to) I do not believe you can have that unless you own a copy of 'Adobe Acrobat' http://www.adobe.com/products/#product-category-2 "Abab" wrote: how to convert a file from microsoft word to pdf |

You need to install a third party (or in the case of Word 2007 a Microsoft)
conversion tool, which can vary in price from free (PrimoPDF) to Adobe Acrobat 8. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Abab wrote: how to convert a file from microsoft word to pdf |

Have MS Office 2003 and Acrobat 6. EXCEL and PPT show "Adobe PDF" on menu

Acrobat 6 pre-dates Word 2003 so the install routine does not recognize the
2003 startup folder - and you will need the latest update to ensure that it works properly with Word. Then you copy its PDFMaker.dot template in the Office Startup folder C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\STARTUP. You'll find it in one of the sub folders of the Adobe program folder. Finally ensure that Word's macro security is set to trust installed templates. I have Adobe Acrobat version 5, so I had to Print to the "Acrobat Distiller"
as a printer choice. That will do the conversions and ask you for a destination file name with the .pdf extension. Once you enter that, it will finsih the conversion and then open Adobe Acrobat with the converted file. Hello,
I have Word 2007 and can't create a PDF even when I save to previous version. I want to make sure that the internal hyperlinks are created by means of using bookmarks. I am able to create a pdf from Word 2007, but this only allows me to crate
the bookmarks according to headings. My files could sometimes be well over 100 pages and thus I create inter hyperlinks from say page three to 120. When I create the PDF file using the send to pdf printer or save as pdf the hyperlinks are lost. I thought a solution would be to do a Save as Word 97-2003 then use Adobe Acrobat Standard 7.0 to create the file and it did not work. I used another PC with Adobe 7.0 Proffesional and the results were the same. your thoughts "Manny" wrote: Hello, I have Word 2007 and can't create a PDF even when I save to previous version. I'm having the same issue. My IT is working on it and no one can figure it
out. I've done it before on an earlier version, but I can't seem to do it now. I'm using Adobe Acrobat 7.0. Has anyone been able to figure this out? The Acrobat 7 add-in that provides this function is not compatible with Word
2007. You should either update Acrobat to version 8.1.2 or use the downloadable PDF creation tool from Microsoft -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Michele wrote: I'm having the same issue. You need third party software to create a .pdf. Adobe Acrobat (not the free

Install PDF conversion software. There are many simple ones that you can
install for free. For example, CutePDF does the job well. It installs as a printer which you would then pick whenever you want to convert a document to PDF. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "jc" wrote in message ... word microsoft 2003 "JoAnn Paules" wrote: Which version of Word are you using? -- JoAnn Paules Microsoft MVP - Publisher How to ask a question http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555375 "Abab" wrote in message ... how to convert a file from microsoft word to pdf |
