Merging Word 2003 with Excel 2003 sheet as input.
If the field "GebdatP" is empty in the Excel file the Word 2003 field {MERGEFIELD GebdatP \@ "d MMMM yyyy"} results in "27 june 2005", but we expect an empty field! If the field "GebdatP" is empty in the Excel file the Word 2003 field {MERGEFIELD GebdatP } results in "12:00 00 AM" The field "GebdatP" is not really empty, but filled with a statement =IF(....) This problem just occurs today without changing the original Word document, normally these fields were as expected empty in my Word document. Regards, Huub. |

Also tried to create a field like:
"{IF {MERGEFIELD GebdatP}="12:00 00 AM" "" "{MERGEFIELD GebdatP \@ "d MMMM yyyy"}} but that doesn't also result in a correct way. "Huub" wrote: Merging Word 2003 with Excel 2003 sheet as input. What result do you get?
Are you inserting the conditional fields using CTRL+F9 for the field boundaries? Try the inverse {IF {MERGEFIELD GebdatP} "12:00 00 AM" "{MERGEFIELD GebdatP \@ "d MMMM yyyy"}"} Note the spaces and quotes.
