Default How to count occurances of specific words or phrases in a Word doc

Periodically, I generate a report from which I do a letter merger. Sometimes
an addressee will appear several times in one report. I can consolidate the
information for a particular addressee and send just one letter, but I need
to determine how many times the addressee's name occurs in the report. These
reports can be several dozen pages long and I need a short cut.
Please help.

Save the document. Use Find and Replace: look for the addressee's name,
replace with anything. Click Replace All -- you'll get a message box telling
you how many replacements were made. Then Undo.
