Default Mailmerge label adds Style Left: 0.07" Right: 0.07" Befo 5.55

I am having a problem with all labels that I try to create through a
mailmerge in Word 2007. The labels work fine alone but if I use mailmerge to
generate labels a paragraph style automatically gets used that includes
Spacing Befo 5.55 pt. This extra spacing forces lines off the labels. I
can't seem to locate the style and be able to modify it. Has anyone else
experienced this problem? Does anyone have steps for modifying this
particular style? The name it gives is Style Left: 0.07" Right: 0.07"
Befo 5.55 pt. Thanks for any ideas.

Are you using the Addressblock field? If so, rather than that, just insert
the individual merge fields in the configuration that you want with the
paragraph formatting that you want.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply. I am using individual fields rather than the new
Addressblock and I can format individually but I do lots of labels constantly
and it would really help me out if I could make that 5.55pt before paragraph
spacing stop coming up every time I do a new set of labels. Any other ideas?

For each of the types of labels that you use, before you attach the data
source, use Ctrl+A to select everything in the document, then from the Home
tab, access the Format Paragraph dialog, and format the paragraphs as you
require them. Then save each of the mail merge main documents as a
template. Then use that template as the basis for a merge that you may want
to make in the future.
