Hello-

Go to ToolsOptionsEdit & see if the list in the middle (Insert/paste
pictures as is shown as In line with text. Change it to anything else.

BTW- even if you don't make that change you can still drag the objects, but
you must drag them to a position on a text line. The object will be
reinserted there as though it were a character and the text will reflow
accordingly based on the size/position of the object.
