Default How do I automatically save the file location on a saved document

Am new to Word. Have been a long term user of WordPerfect. I need to
automatically include the file location on the bottom of documents for easy
reference. E.g. , doc a/misc/word.
Thanks for any help

If by "bottom" you mean at the bottom of each page (that is, in the footer),
then select "Filename and path" from the AutoText menu on the Header and
Footer toolbar. If by "bottom" you mean the end of the document, use Insert
| AutoText | Header and Footer and select "Filename and path."

Open the footer area of the template used for that type of document.
The Header/Footer toolbar appears. Click the Insert AutoText button at
the left end of the toolbar. Click "Filename and path". Save the
template.

Don't do this in the normal.dot template, because it will interfere
with making label sheets.
