mail merge with currency
I have been reading and trying, but I still can't figure this out. I am
trying to format a merge field to display as currency. I am following the directions in the Word Help menu, but after I click altF9, I get a strange number that is not correct. Can someone please tell me in real easy terms, what my field should look like when I am finished. I am merging from an access query. Where is this code (\#) supposed to go, and do you keep the parenthesis? I have found where I can right click and edit field, but I get nowhere there also. Please help!!! |

I have got to be the stupidest person here, because these instruction seem
easy enough for my 11 year old, yet I still can't get it. Here is what my document looks like. {MERGEFIELD "Current_Month_Total" \# "$,0.00;($,0.00)"} Do you see anything wrong with this? I am now just getting my origianal Data without it looking like currency. - 25 Thanks for answering so quickly before. I would really like to get these receipts out today before I go home. Ok, I got rid of the stuff in parenthesis ($,0.00) and it worked. Do I need
that info? "Kelly" wrote: I have got to be the stupidest person here, because these instruction seem easy enough for my 11 year old, yet I still can't get it. Doubtful. The parentheses are how it should display negative values. If you
won't have any negative values, you should be fine. And I can't see any reason why it didn't work. ******************* ~Anne Troy www.OfficeArticles.com www.MyExpertsOnline.com "Kelly" wrote in message ...
