Highlight Editable Regions in a Protected Document
Hello,
When protecting a document in Word '07, I set aside certain areas to be left open for people to edit (I essentially created a template for them to fill out). Each time someone opens the file, the areas that they can edit are highlighted. I already know how to turn off the highlighting once I'm in the document (a checkbox in the "Restrict Formatting and Editing" toolbar of the Protection menu), but this option does not save when the file is closed. Is there a way that I can set the highlighting to be turned OFF as a default? When people open the document, I do not want the editable regions to be highlighted. Many thanks for your suggestions. |
