Default Test for font color (WD 2007)

I have a long document (in Word 2007) that has hyperlinks that were
created in an odd red/brown. I am trying to do a find/replace to
change the color to standard hyperlink blue.

I am unable to determine the color of the font that was used.
Therefore any find I do fails. Is there a way to test for the font
color and determine the color name or the RGB component?

MS had published a method to do this, but it only works in 2003, and
not 2007.

thanks.
