Why can't I open files created in Word '97?
Unable to access the other (8) messages from the faq source, I ask again:
Why can't I read previous files from Word '97? There are approximately 1000 of them on the backup disk that I'm using to transfer from my previous computer to my new one? Lauraline |

What happens when you try and "read" them?
What is the "backup" disk - how are you transferring them? -- Regards; Rob ------------------------------------------------------------------------ "Lauraline" wrote in message ...
