insert checkbox on if condition in mailmerge
Is it possible to insert a checked checkbox when I mailmerge a document when
an if condition is true. I have a number of fields that will either have a Y or N and would like to insert a checked checkbox when the condition is Y? Any ideas. |

Thanks Doug for the reply. I have tried using the "if..then" and inserting
the wingdings symbols but what I keep getting is the text inserted for the wingding symbol rather than the symbol. Can you tell me what I am doing wrong? I am not sure what you mean by the "text inserted for the winding symbol"

Doug - I followed the online help for inserting checkboxes by assigning a
word via the "autocorrect" function to the checkbox symbol from inserting symbols window. I would then do the "if...then" and the result of the "if...then" would be the word I had assigned the wingding symbol too for the "autocorrect" action from the insert symbol window. But instead of inserting the wingding symbol it would insert the word that I had assigned to the symbol for the "autocorrect". Am I still not clear? Insert the Wingdings symbols directly into the If...then...Else... field
