Default 2003 word says file unavailable when trying to open one.

Hi I have had 2003 word for a few months and no problems, I ungraded my
anitvirus and now everytime I try to open a document I get a file unavailable
and then when I click OK I get the file normal already exsit do you want to
replace it and then when I click no I get the Save As and then I click out of
that and get changes have been made that affect the global template etc. I
can open the documents with word 97 which I still have on my computer. Should
I uninstall and reinstall 2003?

If you're using Symantec/Norton AntiVirus, try disabling the
Office Plugin that comes with it. See
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=329820 "How to use Office
programs with the Norton AntiVirus Office plug-in" for more
information.
