New Line in Merge Data Field
I'm using .txt files to do mail merge and would like to put an multi-line
address in one of the fields but can't find any information about whether or not this is possible. I can't put the control characters in the address because they will break the data into multiple records, all of which are invalid. Is there any character sequence I can put in the address to break it into multiple lines? Thanks, Tom |

New Line in Merge Data Field
You cannot do that with a .txt file data source. It can be done however if
the data is in the form of a Word table. Alternatively, in the mail merge main document, just arrange the individual fields that make up the address in the configuration that you want them -- Hope this helps. Please reply to the newsgroup unless you wish to avail yourself of my services on a paid consulting basis. Doug Robbins - Word MVP "Tom Bean" wrote in message ...
