Scanning software can be iffy. I don't think I've ever been able to scan a
document in as text and not have to do some major fixing. -- JoAnn Paules MVP Microsoft [Publisher] "kimmari.doc" wrote in message ... when scanning a doc. into word imaging, How do you get it to look exactly the same. Document Imaging is a rudimentary OCR tool that extracts the text but not
the formatting of the scanned document. If you want something more sophisticated then you need better OCR software. I have tried most and Finereader is the most effective, but even that will struggle on some documents. Resign yourself to the fact that OCR will usually require some additional formatting. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org kimmari.doc wrote: when scanning a doc. into word imaging, How do you get it to look exactly the same.
