Filename and Path
In Word 2003 there was an autotext option to insert filename and path into a
document. I haven't been able to find that in 2007. Does anyone have any idea where it is? Thanks |

AutoText entries are part of the QuickParts Building Blocks.

Filename and Path
I understand that, what I don't understand is how to create a building block

Filename and Path
If you haven't imported these AutoText entries from a previous version of
Word (via Normal.dot) then you'll have to create them from scratch using whatever is the current equivalent of Insert | Field, then saving as AutoText. -- Suzanne S. Filename and Path
Open your Quick Parts drop down and select Field. From the Categories
select Document Information, then select Filename and in the Field Options section turn on "Add path to filename". Once you've added the field in a document, select it and under the Quick Parts drop down select "Save selection to Quick Part Gallery". Please post all follow-up questions to the newsgroup.
