Start Word in a normal window.
When I first start up "Word", I want it to be in a normal window instead of
full screen. I tried some settings in Options but I still can't figure this out. Thank you. |

Right-click the shortcut you use to start Word and choose Properties. On the
Shortcut tab, choose "Normal window" for "Run." -- Suzanne S. Hi Suzanne,
I already tried that and that doesn't seem to work. When I "first" start up Word it is always full screen. If I click the restore button at the upper right it goes to normal window and if I close Word and reopen it will stay at normal window which is good, but my complaint is that when I "first" start it after I turn on the computer in the morning. Am I being too picky or is this just another Microsoft "feature"? Thanks for the reply. "Suzanne S. Barnhill" wrote: Right-click the shortcut you use to start Word and choose Properties. I have no explanation for Word's ignoring the Run setting, no. It has always
worked for me. -- Suzanne S.
