Default Word: Comp not correctly registered

When I open, and upon closing, MS Word, I get a pop-up
with heading "Microsoft Visual Basic" and message
"component not correctly registered". I tried reloading
Word; reloading Works; going to a day earlier restore
point. Nothing works.

I think it happened during a bungled load of Shockwave or
something that mixed with Spybot Teatimer.

Can anyone help to fix this?

Hi Larry,

Which version of Word? Have you tried Help/Detect and
Repair?
