I've been working on a problem in word 2002 for a document that is no longer
displaying the screen shots. It has three screen shots in it. They could
view this just fine last week but now none of the screenshots appear in the
doc. When you click on the placeholders a message appears that says "There
is not enough memory or disk space to display or print the picture".

I searched the knowledge base and did not find anything specific to this. I
did go through the steps in Article 285857 - Pictures or other objects do not
appear in a Word 2003 or Word 2002 document. None of these methods resolved
the issue. Only 1 of the 3 screen shots lets me get to the format option. I
was able to change the text wrapping for the picture to In front of Text from
the In line with text, which worked.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this problem? Is there a known cause for
this and steps to avoid this happening in the future?

Hi ?B?RWxsZW4=?=,

I've seen it once or twice, and heard about it a few times. The problem seems to
be damaged document structures. In the cases I encountered, I was able to fix
the problem by removing the damaged pictures and inserting them again.

I'm assuming you haven't been able to do that, or you'd have tried it already?
How about if you save the file as a web page? That will usually export graphics
to separate graphics files, which might work. Then the HTML file and, if you can
see the pictures, save it as a Word document.
