Default Can't get mailmerge in Word 2000 to print

When i use the mail merge on the Tools menu i can successfully complete the 3
steps of the mail merge helper and the resulting document looks great. But,
i can not get it to print. The printer light starts flashing and continues
forever. This is the only problem i have with this printer.

Thank you,

Merge to a new document and print that - I suspect the printer is expecting
a manual input from this merge (e.g labels or envelopes).

i've tried merging to a new document. It does not work. As for the printer,
it's a simple HP LaserJet with no menu to select anything. My work around
for this has been to use a simple label printing software that includes #10
envelopes in its templates, but it would be more to my liking to use Word for
this function.

When you get to the print stage of the merge Word throws up the printer
dialog box. You can set the paper source from there. Make sure it isn't set
to manual. Each printer driver has its own dialog so I cannot be specific
about where to check this, but 'properties' would be favourite.
