Watermark overheads in PDf and print jobs
Word 2003
I have a watermark in my documents inserted using the Format Background Printed Watermark option. The watermark doubles the size of PDFs and increases the size of the spooled print job on a network printer enormously. A 1mb PDf or a 500 kb Word file shows on the print queue in excess of 50 MB. The print job is incredibly slow. Can I control this in any way? Currently i am printing draft documents for review and have to distribute the printed copies without the watermark which is not desirable or convenient. |

Thanks Margit!
This is a great help! PDF file sizes are now way down, printing is back to normal and I get to keep the watermark!
