Oh my word, this has been getting on my nerves for weeks on end. I came across this and used the Alt-f9 you suggested and my Table of Content page returned to my document automatically, the numbers are there once again...thank you so very much for sharing your knowledge unselfishly.....

Abre el programa Word 2010, luego vaya a la parte superior ARCHIVOS, cuando cliqueas allÃ* te sale OPCIONES, después que cliqueas allÃ* elige AVANZAS, te aparecen un fin de listas algunos con check y algunos no, debe estar con check MOSTRAR CODIGO DE CAMPO EN LUGAR DE VALORES, lo desactivas el check asunto solucionado

For Laptops hold down Fn+Alt+F9 at the same time. It works perfectly well.
