Default Comments in Word 2003

In Word 2000, there used to be a View, Comments option. This has been removed
in Word 2003. Is the only way to open the Comments pane to find a comment and
right-click over it? By the way, I have the display in ballooons option set
to never.

Hi Mark

On the Reviewing toolbar, click the "Reviewing Pane" button (it's the one
with an upward pointing blue arrow). You'll then see the reviewing pane
below the document, and it will display your comments.

You could use Tools Customize to put that button on your View menu if you
prefer it there. To do that, do Tools Customize. Hold down Ctrl and drag
that button on to your View menu.

Hope this helps.

How do I turn the "call outs" (where the comments are shown in a panel at
the right of the screen with dotted lines to the referenced text) on and
off? (I'm using Word 2002.)

Tools/Options/Reviewing, under the "Balloons" section. Or via the "Show"
button on the Reviewing toolbar.
