Default Odd Section Break - not inserting blank page

I am working in Word 2007 and using 'odd section breaks' throughout the
document to force the printing to start on the correct page. The computer
seems to have a mind of its own, sometimes it inserts the blank page and
other times it doesn't - is this a known fault with Word 2007? Or am I
missing something?
Thank You

Are you saying that in the printout, sections sometimes start on even-
numbered pages, or simply that you can't see a blank page in your
document on screen?

First of all, note that you must switch to Print Preview to actually see
filler (blank) pages in a document.

Also, filler pages may be omitted if you restart page numbers in a new
section. The way around this is to enable "Different odd and even" and/or
"Mirror margins" in the Page Setup dialog box.

To open the dialog box, click the dialog launcher button (the arrow on the
bottom right) of the Page Setup group on the Page Layout tab.
