mail merge VERY slow
I have a user who was just upgraded from office 200 to office 2003. He
routinely runs mail merge for upwards of 1,000 - 30,000 labels at a time. Now that he is on office 2003 mail merge runs extremely slow. Has anyone ever seen this before? Maybe a fix? Thanks a ton. |

mail merge VERY slow
Hi ?B?Ry4gTGVhdml0dA==?=,
I have a user who was just upgraded from office 200 to office 2003. He routinely runs mail merge for upwards of 1,000 - 30,000 labels at a time. Now that he is on office 2003 mail merge runs extremely slow. Has anyone ever seen this before? It's generally a problem, yes. I take it these aren't existing mail merge documents already connected to a data source, but documents that where the link to the data source has been created in Word 2003? There's a section on mail merge in Word 2002/2003 on my website that discusses the new connection method, and how you can get back to the old one. You might give that a try. If you want to discuss this further, we do need to know which application provides the data (like Excel, Access...)
