Default Add Space Between Table and Letter Bullet - HELP!

Using Word 2003
I have a document that has a table and then below the table is a letter
bullet. I want to add a space between the table and the bullet. If I place
the cursor to the bottom right of the table and hit the enter key a row is
added to the table, which I dont want. I cannot place the cursor to the left
of the bullet. If I put the cursor to the right of the bullet and hit enter,
another letter bullet is added, which I dont want either. How can this be
done? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you, Karen

You can add another paragraph above the bulleted one by pressing Enter at
the beginning of the content (to the right of the bullet). You'll get
another bulleted paragraph, but you can remove the bullet. A better
solution, however, is to press Ctrl+0 to insert 12 points Spacing Before to
the bulleted paragraph.

There's no need to cut and paste. You could have added some spacing before to
the first bulleted paragraph; that way, you would have added a distance
between the table and the bulleted list.
