Default How do I keep Word 2003 set for portrait orientation when I open d

Whenever I create a new doc, usually from copy and pasting from another
system, Word sets the default to landscape, when I want it to stay portrait.
The margins of what I'm copying fit easily in the portrait view. Can I make
Word 2003 always open a new doc in the portrait orientation?

Create a new document based on Normal.dot. Go to File | Page Setup and
change the orientation to landscape; do not make any other changes. Click
the Default... button and answer Yes.
