Need more pages
I'm using Word 2003's mail merge feature to create several hundred name
tags. I'm using a .txt file (first, last) to merge into the Avery #5095 layout which is 4 name tags down in 2 columns; i.e. 8 total name tags. I need 40 or so pages but find no way to set the total number of pages and, therefore, am able to create only one page or 8 name tags. How does one get around this? EdC |

MailMerge will automatically create as many pages as needed to display all
the names in your source file. Or do you mean you also want some blank labels? "OldManEd" wrote in message ... I'm using Word 2003's mail merge feature to create several hundred name tags. You actually have to complete the merge. Merge to a document and you'll have
your pages. What you are doing now is viewing merge data in your merge file. (This is what I do almost all the time.) It shows a page with the first data. Otherwise, you can click on the arrow keys on the MailMerge toolbar and move through your data set. I would perform the merge though. Sorry, but it DOES NOT create additional pages!!! Just one page with 8 name
tags (Avery #5095). One time I even got an error message saying there was too much data. Is this a Word or Avery bug for this particular layout???? I have generated standard labels without any problem. EdC "OldManEd" wrote in message ... I'm using Word 2003's mail merge feature to create several hundred name tags. In Word 2002 and 2003, it is not very obvious but there are two steps.
Propagating the labels fills a single sheet, but you then have to complete the merge to get more than one sheet. -- Suzanne S. Of course it does! As others have told you you need to complete the merge.
