Word 2007 beta
I would like to have a look at the beta Word 2007 but have never used a beta
before. What I would like to know is, if I download this, will it download and operate completely separately from my other MS Office 2003 applications, or is there a chance it might interfere with, eg Word 2003. I have often wanted to do beta tests, but have always been fearful of trying. I seek your advice. Thanks. Trish |

Word 2007 beta
It's supposed to coexist with your existing applications, but as with any
beta, your mileage may vary. I tested it out alongside Office 2003, and most things still worked. A major exception was Outlook; some new DLLs prevented Outlook 2003 from working. Also, when I started Word 2003, it had to reinstall some files, but after it did so, it seemed to work fine. |
