How do I activate the "Insert AutoText" option for Header/Footer?

Default Insert AutoText Option

Left-clicking on it once is usually sufficient. If the option is grayed
out, then that is a sign that you overwrote your Normal.dot template
with a regular Word document. Close Word, and rename Normal.dot to
something else as described at
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/...ocNotBlank.htm .
