Expand and collapse in Word document using exisiting levels
Dear MicroSoft,
It would be really great if, in the Word document itselfes, you can expand and collpase your chapters, paragraphs and lists. This functionality is compairable with the Document Structure feature from Word. However, I like to have that functionality in the Word document itselfs. Also, the collapsing and expanding of the (let's call it) nodes is to be saved. Also if collapsed, this being collapsed should be printed in a proper way. Then, Word has best of both current Word and XML Notepad. I am confident in the fact that MicroSoft can make this! Thanks and best regards, Bernhard ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes. Thanks for your answer,
I translated Document Structuur from my Dutch Word into Document Structure. I meant Outline View. I agree that Outline View is great. However, I think it is great to have that Outline View IN the document. Also that collapsing is saved and printed in a proper way. As an example I am logging my work. It contains logging of several months. Every month gets its own chapter, every day its own paragraph. It would be great if I could collapse and expand notes in my logging document the way I want.
