Default FORMATTING BOOKMARKS

If the original text is entered in an alternative font / size etc than the
required appearance where the text is to appear next, the repeated text
always assumes the formatting of the original. Is it possible to ensure that
the bookmark text appears in a diffent format when used elsewhere in the
document, to that which was originally used?

You can add a \* Charformat switch in your REF field. See Word's Help for
how to use this.
