I have worked all afternoon on a document. When I got ready to close it I
was asked if I wanted to save the changes. I accidently hit NO.........is
there anyway I can retrieve it the way it was. Please tell me there is a way!

No, if you never saved it, there's nothing to retrieve. But there is no
excuse for working "all afternoon" without saving. You should always save a
new document within 5-15 minutes of creation and every 5-15 minutes
thereafter, depending on whether it's original or copied, how much data has
been input, and how much you're willing to redo.
