I have completely forgotten my password on a password protected word
document. Is there any way to retrieve the document if I do not have the
password?

Short of hiring someone who breaks password protection - thereby giving them
your credit card info as well as free access to the document ‹ No. Perhaps
if you quit trying so hard to remember it the password will just come to you
in time.
