Default Problem in comment balloon

I'm using Word 2003.

Someone has sent me a document to review. I'm adding comments (using Insert
/ Comment). The introductory text of the comment - the part that usually says
"Comment [xx1]" - appears to be in a weird font.

I don't know what style is used for that text, but I've checked the styles
Comment Text, Comment Reference, and Comment Subject, and they all seem fine.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Yup, that's it!

In the document as I received it, the Balloon Text style is formatted in
Lucida Grande, which I apparently don't have on my PC. I don't recall how the
font substitution rules work, but apparently Word is substituting some weird
font.

Thanks for solving the problem.

You'd think it would at least substitute one of the Lucida fonts that come
with Windows/Office.

Somewhere among the options (I don't know where it is in 2003) you'll
find a place to access the Font Substitution list, where you can learn
the name of the weird font and also tell it what to use instead of
Lucida Grande.

In Word 2003, Font Substitution is on the Compatibility tab of Tools |
Options.
