Default How do I send a works 7.0 doc that can be read in word?

I currently have works 7.0 and I'm trying to send documents that I creat in
works to others via email. But most people will tell me that they cannot
open the works document. I have just recently downloaded the office
converter package for XP users. What do I do from here?

From the Works 7 word processor, click on File-SaveAs, and in
the "Save as type" box, choose a Word 97-2002 & 6.0.95 RTF (.doc)
file or a Rich Text Format (.rtf) file. The Office XP converter
pack won't be of any use to you because you don't have Office XP.
