Default Too many decimal places

When mail-merging Excel data into Word, there are too many decimal places for
some of the numbers.

i.e. Excel 22.02 Word 22.199999999999997
Excel 17.1 Word 17.09999999999999

Cell formating has no effect.

When doing a mail-merge in Word you can control the look of many fields by
using €śswitches.€ť For your decimal point situation you will want to use the
€śNumeric Picture€ť switch.

First, display the field codes in your merge document. Alt-F9 is the toggle
for this. Position your cursor just to the right of your field name and then
hit the spacebar. Now type:
\# ###.00

Put the appropriate number of zeros after the decimal to accommodate your
needs.

Here is an example of what one of my merge fields with a Numeric Picture
looks like when displayed in field codes:

{ MERGEFIELD average_score \# ###.00 }

Happy Merging!
