Word 2003 & 2007 generating wrong index when using doc variables
I have this index entry:
{ XE €ś{ DOCPROPERTY SAC \ * MERGEFORMAT }:Internal workings€ť} And also this one: { XE €ś{ DOCPROPERTY SAC \ * MERGEFORMAT }€ť} I cannot resolve the documents variable since I must use different ones for re-branding purposes. When updating the index, I get two different entries instead of one with a sub-item: I get Client Driver, 47 Client Driver Internal workings, 55 Instead of: Client Driver, 47 Internal workings, 55 any suggestions? |

Hi Emiliano,
Seems to be a bug :-( As a work-around, you could put a backslash in front of the colon: { XE "{ DOCPROPERTY SAC \ * MERGEFORMAT }\:Internal workings"} Not quite sure why that helps, but it then seems to list the sub-entries correctly. Regards, Klaus "Emiliano llano" Emiliano wrote: I have this index entry: { XE "{ DOCPROPERTY SAC \ * MERGEFORMAT }:Internal workings"} And also this one: { XE "{ DOCPROPERTY SAC \ * MERGEFORMAT }"} I cannot resolve the document's variable since I must use different ones for re-branding purposes.
