Extra "x" on .doc extension - friend cannot open document
I created a Word document at home on 2007 - sent it to a friend and sent
myself at work a cc. Friend can't open document, but I can (on 2003). I noticed a .docx extension on the forwarded attachment. How do I remove that, and is that what is causing the problem? -- UncaRay |

Extra "x" on .doc extension - friend cannot open document
Word 2007 uses a new file type by default. Earlier versions of Word need to
have the Compatibility Pack installed to read them - this is available free from Microsoft (see http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...isplaylang=en). Alternatively, you can save documents in the old format (Office Button Save As Word 97-2003 format) -- Enjoy, Tony www.WordArticles.com "UncaRay" someone@yahoolcom(donotspam) wrote in message ...
