Default Page Numbering Orientation

; have a report that has text pages in portrait, and tables in landscape;
however, I need to have the page numbering always in portrait (using auto
numbering). The only way I have found this to work is on the landscape
pages, I insert a text frame, position it on the left, type in the text and
page numbering--cannot use auto numbering; and then rotate the text. There
has to be an easier way, and a way that would allow me to use the auto page
numbering, but I haven't been able to figure it out. The only other option I
use (when pressed for time); I create 2 docs--one with all the text and
tables (the report), with no footers (no numbering); the other, with the same
number of pages but with no text--only the footer. Then I print the footer
only doc, refeed the pages, and print the report doc. Way too much work!!!
