Default the tab indication doesn't show via Show/Hide ¶ button

Re Word 97 --

I am editing a document from another person. He has tab spacing for an
outline he's created. If I add a line with a tab space, it tabs and
correctly lines up with others, but the tab indicator (little arrow) doesn't
show up when I toggle the Show/Hide ¶ button. What gives?

Hi, Jack. The "tab" you think you're adding is probably an indent. If
you want it to be a tab, press Ctrl+Tab instead of just Tab, or click on
Tools | AutoCorrect Options | AutoFormat As You Type | uncheck the "Set
left- and first-indent with tabs and backspaces" box | OK.
