Default Problem in uploading database from excel

I've designed a form in word format.. In that form, i put some "text field"
so that my student can key-in their information into that form when i protect
it...

In my case, I need to upload the previous information for my student into
the "text field".. so that if there are any changes on that info, their just
can only replace it by key-in the information into the "text field".

My problem is... how do I upload the information into the "text field" from
my excel database( that excel database containts all previous information)..

Can all expert in microsoft solved my problem?? If there are any macros,
please explain how to use it... tq

Hi ?B?ZGllZ29qZXJyeWRvbm5h?=,

There's nothing built into Word that will do this for you. It would, indeed,
require a macro solution. But it would have to be one tailored to your specific
need, and the code wouldn't exactly be "trivial".

Macro help is provided in the word.vba (developer) newsgroups, but please note
the people there primarily help others to help themselves. IOW, you will need to
do some of the actual work - this isn't a place to get consulting help free or
charge :-).

To get started, before you post in the vba groups, I recommend you read up on
using macro solutions you get from others at the word.mvps.org site. You'll also
find articles there on basic macro coding, on coding in Word on-line forms and
on exchanging data between Word and Excel.

When you post, be sure to mention the version of Word you're using and copy in
the basic code framework you've been able to come up with. (For example, you've
figured out how to get the user information from Excel to show up in a MsgBox
(message box), or you've even figured out how to write it to the form field, but
you don't know how to get the user name. Copy the code you already have, and
someone will show you how to complete it.)
